Welcome to Babywearing of Northeast Ohio!
Babywearing of Northeast Ohio (BWofNEO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to three major principles: Carry, Love, Educate. BWofNEO is dedicated to promoting carrying children and babies close as a way to encourage bonds between caregivers and children. We are committed to loving and serving the families and communities of the Northeast Ohio region through education about babywearing.At the heart of our group is our network of Volunteer Educators serving their local communities. We provide education and support for babywearers throughout Northeast Ohio through meetings, our Facebook group, Facebook page, and Instagram. We maintain several lending libraries for use during our open meetings and for check out to our dues-paying members. We also encourage informal play dates and group outings as well. This is a very active group with weekly discussion topics and lots of positive energy!
Membership
Membership is not required to attend or participate in babywearing meetings and outings. However, we do encourage you to consider joining. The annual dues go directly towards local education, such as funding carriers for our lending library, business cards to pass out to parents who may be interested in attending meetings, etc. Becoming a member will give you access to our Lending Library, where you can check out one of over 350 carriers for a month. Want to know all about our Lending Library? Head over to the Events and Lending Library pages for more info! You may join at any meeting, or fill out our online Membership Application. Payment is due at the time you sign up.We offer two memberships: a Single Sustaining Membership for $30 a year, which allows wearers to check out one carrier at a time, and a Tandem Sustaining Membership for $50 a year, which allows wearers to check out two carriers at a time. For a limited time, current Sustaining Members can upgrade to a Tandem Sustaining Membership for $15.
